Students Participate in AECOM Work Experience Programme

Date: 30/03/2026

In late March 2026, students from our school took part in a four-day work experience programme organised by the multinational infrastructure consulting firm AECOM. They experienced actual engineering practices through their participation in daily office activities at the organisation. Under the mentorship of engineers, they explored various career paths and opportunities within the engineering industry.

They were also introduced to operations in different specialised fields, including Land Supply, Transportation, Geotechnical Engineering, and Environmental Planning. Students observed several project development processes, systems analyses, and project management methodologies. This allowed them to experience the practical applications of Physics theories through participation in large-scale infrastructure construction projects.

This invaluable experience allowed students to understand the usefulness and influence of STEM education in today's society. It also deepened their understanding of essential soft skills, including collaboration and effective teamwork. This programme successfully broadened their professional perspectives and enabled them to discover various possibilities within the engineering industry.
